Summary:

Provides assistance with current operational projects and development of new initiatives or products that help expand or diversify our client base. This includes organizing initiatives and supporting current and new programs through assistance to the Business Development Director and other organization leaders.   

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Assist with all administrative and operations-related activities, as assigned
  • Support Business Development Director or other leaders within Clear Risk Solutions and Arrowhead Programs on various projects as assigned.
  • Obtain knowledge of underwriting, risk management, claims, and pool administration operations
  • Improve processes, applications and other underwriting and client services resources as needed
  • Research, prioritize, and develop plans for business initiatives, leads, or new products
  • Assist with acquiring new clients through creative means
  • Help develop additional products or services to existing clients
  • Network and communicate with carriers, clients, and agencies, as needed
  • Research coverage/policy issues for improvement and review market or competitor information
  • Develop, proof, and edit materials or communications
  • Prepare and maintain project plans and follow up on tasks from other departments or outside parties as assigned
  • Cross-train and assist other teammates, as needed
  • Assist with other general office duties, including answering phones, processing mail, scanning, photo copying, filing, shipping, and ordering supplies, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned or delegated

Qualifications:

Knowledge of insurance coverages for property, liability, worker’s compensation, unemployment compensation, health benefits, etc. Research skills are beneficial, including use of business computer software programs and internet resources. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have the ability to work in teams. Possess a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and computer skills. Must present yourself in a professional manner, including personal hygiene and appearance. Regular attendance is essential and expected for the effective operation of the company.

Education:

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree
  • Property and Casualty Insurance Producers license or insurance designations such as AINS, AU, or CISR designations preferred.

Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:

Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day. Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day. Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor. Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day.

Annual Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000
