12 hour work days (7PM-7AM), 3.5 days on, 3.5 days off.

Tues-Friday, some weekends may be required.

OT will be required.

2 weeks out of the month will have a 42 hour work week schedule

2 weeks out of the month will have 54 hour work week schedule

What Part Will You Play?

• Monitor integrated global security operating systems to protect assets against fire, theft, vandalism, and all other illegal and/or unauthorized activities
• Understand and monitor multiple global security and environmental monitoring systems to include access control, Alarm, CCTV, fire, building automation, visitor management and various reporting software programs, and daily scheduled rounds walking the facility.
• Greeting visitors; establish their reasons for being on premises, and issue visitor passes to ensure that access to all buildings and premises is controlled.  
• Initiates a response to alarmed and/or reported events to include contact and coordination with
• Security, HR, Facilities and/or appropriate public safety departments
• Enters and retrieves event and/or investigative data into the appropriate security management and/or reporting systems
• Have a working understanding of Physical Security Association regulations and departmental standard operating procedures to ensure appropriate compliance
• Maintains appropriate logs and records of activities observed during an assigned shift
• Investigate disturbances and in the event of an emergency, maintain order, provide for the safety of team members and escalate to a higher authority as needed.
• Conducts post-accident reviews to determine root cause of events for Human Resources, Facilities, Physical Security, etc. due to Workers’ Compensation, OSHA Regulations or general facility safety reasons.
• Demonstrates a strong safety and security working knowledge of all North American fixed security posts and facilities to include solid working relationships with Human Resources, Real Estate and Facility management teams.
• Respond promptly to requests for assistance from team members to ensure their safety and security.  Have the ability and training to respond to calls for medical assistance, to include successful completion of CPR/First Aid & AED certification every two years.
• Assist with routine audits, tours and provide escort services as needed
• Identifies current or potential issues and reports findings to the appropriate department ensuring the safety of clients, guests, and team members (hazards, vulnerabilities, etc.).

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Typically Minimum 2 Years Relevant Exp
• Prior public safety or corporate security experience

Preferred Qualifications

• AED, CPR, 1st Aid Certifications

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• GPN Physical Security Associates are expected to provide physical security and safety services from multiple 24x7x365 security service desks across the globe. 

• As 24x7 security services desks, staffing coverages are made up of rotating shift working hours. Team members are assigned to 12hr shifts, and have a minimum of two hours per week of overtime hours built into their weekly schedule. 

• All Security Associates must be able to work additional overtime on an intermittent basis for coverage of shift vacancies and increased workflow expectations.
