About the Role: The Manager of IT Operations will support a highly innovative and agile infrastructure, encompassing multiple locations and system stacks. In this position, you will be responsible for driving technical engineering, user experience and assisting in the development of a technical center of excellence strategy. You will act as the functional expert for all day to day IT operations. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to continue building your engineering ability solidifying and supporting a cutting edge, growing environment. You will apply technical skills and creativity in support of our scientific research and development for Foresight Diagnostics platforms. This role reports to the VP Of IT.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor's Degree or Certification in IT such as VMWare VCP/VCAP, AWS Certification, Nutanix Certification, Cisco UCS or similar
4+ years of working in IT Operations
Demonstrated ability to work with service desk platforms such as Samange, ServiceNow, ZenDesk or similar
Resourcefulness, critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude
Excellent working knowledge and hands-on experience on managing computer systems and servers, security, network, system administration, database, and data storage systems.
Customer service experience, preferred
5+ years of experience in Microsoft windows Server OS administration
5+ years of experience managing and configuring hypervisors (VMWare VCenter, VSphere )
5+ years of experience managing Linux servers, Ubuntu or CentOS preferred
5+ years’ experience managing storage arrays or experience working with them in an administration capacity (Netapp, PureStorage, Storagevault etc)
4+ years of experience working with systems imaging products such as Microsoft MDT, Symantec Ghost or similar
4+ years managing enterprise infrastructure systems
Advanced ability with Powershell, PowerCLI or VB Script
Demonstrated ability managing hyperconverged infrastructure such as: AWS, SAN, Active Directory, DNS, DCHP and Group Policy
Demonstrated Microsoft Active Directory Forest Management
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience with diagnostic company/life science growth and expansion both in the US and global
Familiarity and/or prior experience with business operations activity such as procurement, facilities and R&D Ops
Prior experience as part of a IT buildout team or similar within start-up environment
Prior experience working as a NOC analyst in an MSP or similar environment
Knowledge and application of scripting within multi-os platforms such as Windows, Mac, Linux/Unix and SAN platforms
Advanced knowledge of storage systems such as SAN/NAS and cloud connect platforms.
What You Will Do:
Maintain and execute a 24/7 NOC mission critical data driven environment.
Respond to all user technical problems & troubleshoot as they arise with a critical focus to documentation and solving future issues before they arise.
Maintain all helpdesk platforms and sub-systems.
Maintain and administer all software, systems and asset management platforms
Develop and apply SLAs for the organization
Serve with resourcefulness, critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
Apply excellent working knowledge and hands-on experience with managing SaaS, collaboration, VOIP, network, telecom platforms within computer systems, servers, network, system administration, database and data storage systems.
Roll out and advise on IT related improvement programs for R&D groups such as laboratory oper
