Maintenance Technician

The Technician completes assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

• MEP Repairs: Perform and oversee all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs to maintain building functionality.
• Tenant Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing concerns and ensuring their needs are met.
• Vendor Supervision: Supervise external vendors performing project work or contracted services, ensuring compliance with building standards and timelines.
• Liaison Duties: Act as a liaison for the offsite property manager, providing regular updates and facilitating effective communication.
• Preventative Maintenance: Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules to prevent system failures and prolong the life of building systems.
• Corrective Maintenance: Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform corrective actions to resolve issues efficiently.
• After-Hours Support: Handle after-hours calls and emergency maintenance needs to ensure continuous building operation.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inspections.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in MEP system maintenance and repair.
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate building operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate with external vendors and contractors.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle after-hours calls and emergency situations.
• Certification or training in relevant technical fields is a plus.
