Position Summary: The role of the Nurse, RN is to promote and foster health, assess dysfunction, aid patient’s recovery, improve or learn coping skills and abilities, maximize strengths, and prevent further disability. Focus is on assessment and monitoring of safety, self-care activities, and psychobiological courses of therapy.  

Our ideal candidate for our Nurse, RN position will have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado.  They will have three years nursing experience, preferably in a psychiatric/mental health setting, knowledge of psychiatric medication and managed care experience.  They will also have experience working with a multi-disciplinary team and working with mental health conditions. 

Salary:  Starting at $37.00 (Starting $36.00 + locale differential $1.00 = $37.00) - $39.16 per hour (non-exempt - hourly) and considers preferred experience and preferred education described above.

Physical demands: Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods at a computer. Employee must be able to travel between Axis Health System locations. Possible potential exposure to communicable disease. • Working knowledge of involuntary mental health holds (27-65), and alcohol and drug Emergency Commitments (EC) and Involuntary Commitments (IC).
• Working knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR, Pt. 2.
• Knowledge of community health and mental health resources and their eligibility criteria.
• Knowledge and ability to operate standard office equipment including scanner, computer, calculator, copy machine, fax, and multi-line telephone.
• Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and ability to access the internet.
• Ability to be helpful and sensitive to the needs of all employees, while concurrently respecting corporate policies, procedures, and priorities.
