Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:

Infra Technology team within Samsung Austin Semiconductor is the Facilities team which owns processes and equipment used to supply utilities such as Electricity, Gas, and Chemical, Ultra-Pure Water, etc. to the FAB Manufacturing processes. Infra QA is the Quality department for the Infra Tech team that monitors and improves Quality and Reliability through short-term and long-term Engineering initiatives. Reporting directly to the Infra Quality Assurance TR, Quality Project Manager will facilitate Continuous Improvement projects based on Data Analysis focused on operative’s software solutions implementation and coordination for all the facilities at Taylor and Austin, Texas.

Specific Job Duties:

• Identify process weak points, analyze technical data and develop solutions to increase operative effectiveness
• Translate internal customer needs into system solutions: define strategies, prioritize, identify data source, data acquisition, data preprocessing, reporting and product validation
• Coordinate a team of cross-functional engineers with different engineering backgrounds with the vision of developing world’s best FABs in the United States
• Act as conductor between Operative needs and IT systems developers
• Become Subject Matter Expert on Samsung software quality, reliability and operations
• Lead Data Management system (PDM) implementation for product data, 2D and 3D drawings
• Provide support to infra groups to resolve any quality issues during operations or construction.
• Develop process documentation required as part of the Equipment Early Management
• Lead risk assessments for any critical process and equipment change with potential to affect FAB operations.
• Standardize and manage Infra-Wide Quality Systems KPIs and build dashboards for monitoring and improvement identification
• Constantly communicate with Headquarters team in Korea on identifying spread items and implementing them in the US.
• Lead implementation of Quality Systems Software or process automation for operational improvements for Infra QA team
• Review and report Quality audit data to executive management periodically with improvement actions to remedy any quality setbacks with respect to construction and system commissioning

 

Skills and Qualifications:

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required

• BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, System Engineering or related technical field OR
• 10+ years of Quality Management experience
• Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing. FAB engineering experience in semiconductor manufacturing is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools

• The candidate must demonstrate strong knowledge in Data Science and Bigdata Analysis
• The candidate must possess strong Data reporting software knowledge (Spotfire)
• The candidate must have intermediate level in Database (SQL) and programming languages (Python, R, etc)
• The candidate must have knowledge of Data Mining or AI based on field data
• The candidate must possess strong Quality background with working experience on critical quality tools like Pareto Anal
