Senior Software Engineer

<p><strong><u>Position summary:</u></strong></p> <p>We're looking for a driven and experienced Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join our expanding Platform Reporting team. In this pivotal role, you’ll leverage your deep expertise in database optimization to craft highly efficient queries and scalable database designs, ensuring top-tier performance for our customer reporting and visualization applications. As a key contributor, you’ll design, build, and maintain robust, full-stack reporting solutions that are both scalable and user-friendly, delivering real-time insights that empower our customers. Working closely with Product Managers, analysts, and fellow engineers, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping a reporting experience that directly meets evolving business needs.</p> <p>If you're passionate about building impactful applications and driving performance improvements, we’d love to have you on our team!</p> <p><strong><u>What you will do:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies. </li> <li>Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces using frameworks like <strong>React</strong>, <strong>Angular</strong> etc. </li> <li>Develop and optimize back-end services, RESTful APIs, and microservices using <strong>Node.js</strong>, <strong>Python</strong>, <strong>Java</strong> or <strong>Go</strong>. </li> <li>Design, implement, and optimize database schemas for performance and scalability in relational databases such as <strong>MySQL</strong> or <strong>PostgreSQL</strong>, as well as NoSQL alternatives. </li> <li>Lead efforts to optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing strategies, and schema design for high-traffic systems.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, design, and DevOps) to translate business needs into technical solutions.</li> <li>Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices for code reviews, testing, and version control.</li> <li>Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing knowledge on best practices for full-stack development and database optimization. </li> <li>Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, testing, and deployment process. </li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, focusing on system performance, stability, and scalability.</li> <li>Participate in the entire Agile development lifecycle, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retros</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you bring to the table:</strong></p> <p><strong>Essentials:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>5+ years</strong> of experience as a full-stack developer, with strong expertise in front-end and back-end technologies.</li> <li>Proven experience in database optimization, including query tuning, indexing, and performance tuning in <strong>MySQL</strong>, <strong>PostgreSQL</strong>, or similar databases.</li> <li>Expertise in front-end frameworks like <strong>React</strong>, <strong>Angular</strong>, or <strong>Vue.js</strong>. </li> <li>Strong back-end development experience in <strong>Node.js</strong>, <strong>Python</strong>, Java or <strong>Go</strong>.</li> <li>Deep understanding of database design, schema management, and data modeling best practices. </li> <li>Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools like <strong>Docker</strong>.</li> <li>Solid understanding of version control (Git), continuous integration, and automated testing.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering efficient, scalable, and high-performance solutions.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams, mentoring junior engineers and driving technical initiatives.</li> <li>Experience with observability and monitoring tools like <strong>Datadog</strong>, <strong>Prometheus</strong>, or <strong>New Relic</strong>, with a focus on tracking performance metrics, system health, and error detection. </li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with microservices architecture and orchestration tools like <strong>Kubernetes</strong>.</li> <li>Knowledge of serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, GCP Functions).</li> <li>Experience in working within Agile development environments.</li> <li>Experience in AdTech.
