Associate Principal, Network Engineer

<p>Qontigo is seeking a Network Engineer to join its team. As a financial intelligence innovator and a leader in the modernization of investment management, Qontigo delivers competitive advantage in a rapidly changing marketplace to its clients, which include the world’s largest financial products issuers, capital owners and asset managers. The successful candidate will play a vital role in designing and implementing a network infrastructure that can support Qontigo’s growth and global client base. Reporting to the Director of Network Engineering, this role requires a self-motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of network architectures and protocols.</p><p><br/></p> <h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul> <li>Design, implement and maintain Qontigo's LAN and WAN infrastructure to support global operations</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network topologies to optimize application performance and ensure high availability</li> <li>Ensure network security through proper configuration of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security tools</li> <li>Identify and remediate network performance issues, working in collaboration with other teams as needed</li> <li>Develop and maintain network documentation including network diagrams, standards, procedures, and policies</li> <li>Provide tier-3 support for network issues that cannot be resolved by the help desk and system administrators</li> <li>Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices in network engineering</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field</li> <li>5+ years of experience in network engineering or a related field</li> <li>Experience with Cisco routers/switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network devices</li> <li>Deep understanding of network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP) and network design principles</li> <li>Experience with network security technologies (e.g. VPNs, IPS/IDS, AAA, SIEM)</li> <li>Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages a plus</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>There are numerous good reasons to work for us: responsibility at an early stage, attractive social benefits, an international working environment, and a wide variety of career opportunities.
