Job Summary
The Operations Relationship Manager - IMO Channel at F&G will play a pivotal role in developing, nurturing and strengthening relationships with our key distribution partners at their executive level, particularly Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs), while fostering collaboration and alignment across internal sales, operations, and IT teams. This position will be responsible for understanding the operational needs and challenges of our distribution partners and internal stakeholders, partnering on initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and elevate overall client satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with IMOs and other external distribution partners to understand their unique business requirements and challenges.
- Work closely with Sales and Internal Partners and IMOs to deeply understand their diverse and ever-changing business process, operational needs, challenges, and pain points.
- Advocate for initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, streamlining processes, and enhancing client satisfaction based on the insights gained from stakeholder engagements.
- Act as a liaison between sales and operations teams and other internal departments to ensure clear communication, collaboration, and alignment in executing strategic objectives.
- Source and draw insights from data and create customized solutions that address distribution partner needs operationally.
- Review sales data and reporting for our distribution partners to spot trends and in turn partner with Sales and Operations to identify solutions.
- Lead the efforts to establish data feeds and serve as the primary resource for IMO partners.
- Partner with our internal IT Teams to ensure that we are providing the best solution for our partners.
- Advocate for enhancements that improve the distributor experience and work with internal partners and the Relationship Management team to move enhancements forward .
Experience and Education Requirements
- AA or BA degree preferred. Relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
- 3-5 years of financial service experience or life insurance, annuity, retirement plans
- 2-3 years of customer service/relationship building experience
Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of the annuity and life insurance marketing organization space/channel and its uniqueness therein.
- In depth understanding of insurance and annuity operations
- Ability to advocate and speak from the framework of F&G’s mission statement when communicating.
- Team player and excellent collaborator with internal and external partners and works effectively to get things done, building and nurturing strong relationships.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and facilitate agreement on priorities when necessary.
- Ability to establish and influence business relationships.
- Ability to work on teams, and independently, in a fast-paced environment.
- Is an enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and intense focus on results, acting in the best interest of the client.
- Displays passion, commitment and drive to deliver an experience that improves our clients' experience with F&G.
- Communicates effectively and confidently, verbal and written, and is comfortable engaging distributors.
- Has the ability and willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new information and technology platforms.
- Applies strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to meet clients' needs.
