Data Lead

Founded 6 years ago, Skoon is a rapidly growing scale-up with a mission to make clean energy accessible and affordable to everyone, always.

In 2023, we secured €5M in Series A funding, which strengthened our leading position as the world’s largest online platform for clean mobile energy systems. We are growing our team and expanding our business internationally. As part of taking the company to the next level, we are looking for a Data Lead to join our team!

As the head of the data team, you will; 

• Develop data/AI driven solutions, including defining key use-cases and formulating a clear roadmap, while advising on data governance and quality.
• Drive the development and enhancement of Skoon’s data platform, providing a robust data foundation for global operations.
• Advise and assist in expanding the data team to meet growing demands.
• Work closely with the CEO, CTO and others to align technology initiatives with the overall business strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Sales, Operations and Finance, to understand requirements and align them on a common ambition for a data-driven approach.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a highly driven Data Lead, who understands the dynamics of a scale-up environment and will provide strategic leadership for the continuous improvement of the data platform. Ideally, you are a strategic thinker, with a good sense to translate business needs and opportunities into data initiatives that drive measurable business value.

We are looking for someone who;

• Has proven experience working in and leading data teams in a software landscape.
• Has a strong background in building data & AI products and running them in production environments.
• Brings proven experience in formulating, and successfully executing data strategies.
• Has experience with our tech stack including Azure Data Lake, Databricks, DBT, Docker, Azure cloud.
• Knows how to write (good) code with Python, SQL and/or Spark.
• Is intrinsically motivated and is highly driven to deliver.
• Takes initiative and volunteers to take responsibility.
• Is solution oriented with a can-do attitude, capable of working independently.
• Possesses excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
