Sr. Associate, US Petcare Marketing Operations
The Marketing Operations Manager plays an important role in enabling the success of marketing efforts in a dynamic, diverse and growing business unit. The candidate will provide a full range of financial operations support to the US team including: monthly budget management, reporting, reconciling, along with project management and other duties, as assigned.
The role requires a demonstration of expert financial, collaboration and communications skills within a fast-paced team environment, promoting knowledge sharing, best-practices capture and dissemination and workflow coordination. Above all, the candidate is an indispensable resource in problem-solving, delivering results and demonstrating value to the Zoetis Petcare business unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will:
· Responsible for ongoing budget management and analysis, including the monthly tracking of actuals spends, monthly reconciliations, maintaining and delivering accurate, timely quarterly forecast projections and other financial information as they relate to brand budgets, advertising and promotions (A&P) budgets and forecasts across Zoetis Petcare business units.
· Interface, in concert with the Marketing Communications Manager, with advertising agency partners as appropriate, particularly regarding the billing and invoicing of projects and production of materials.
· Directly manage Zoetis Petcare vendors and marketing suppliers in ensuring submission of billing and financial documentation (i.e., Statement of Work, invoices, etc.);
· Manage logistics, communications initiatives (via launches) and literature fulfillment for trade shows, customer meetings and internal meetings.
· Work closely with the Marketing Communications Manager to execute full range of marketing operations tasks and deliver operational excellence.
· Assist the Marketing Operations Manager in managing supporting/administrative/ contract resources that support the Marketing Operations function.
· Manage ongoing promotional item inventory levels, literature ordering and processes; obtain estimates for promotional material production and secure approvals from Marketing Managers on quantity, delivery of materials to warehouse and/or direct shipment to sales representatives.
· Manage all promotional material requests, including purchase of premium items and brand collateral
· Provide input, share best practices and provide feedback to Zoetis colleagues; specifically related to Marketing Operations.
· Respond to requests from the field force, customers and home-office colleagues.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
· BS or BA required (Business, Accounting, Finance or related field).
Professional
· At least three years of relevant marketing communications and operations experience required. Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but not required.
· Must demonstrate excellent project and time management skills, as well as acumen in budget management and tracking. Experience working with cross-functional teams in executing tactics.
· Proficiency in and/or demonstrated ability to quickly learn internal billing and processing systems including SAP, Ariba, Anaplan.
· Proficiency in various computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc. Advanced competency in spreadsheet development/tracking.
· High-energy, self-starter who has the initiatives to function autonomously, demonstrative resourcefulness, anticipate needs, prioritize responsibilities and take initiative; sharp attention to financial detail.
· Demonstrated ability to be a team player.
· Excellent customer interaction/influence skills.
· Organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment; and perform well and deliver high-quality under multiple deadlines.
