The role:
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) - Elective Surgery Access Coordinator is an experienced nurse who,
within Elective Surgery Access Coordination:
- Works in partnership with the Nurse Manager (NM) - Elective Surgery Access and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
- Assists the NM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the elective surgery waiting list.
- Coordinates with the preoperative assessment unit to ensure optimal preoperative preparation of patients for surgical procedures that are on the Elective Surgery Waiting List (ESWL).

Details of Appointment
Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 3 November 2024.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies.
Salary: $103,466 - $109,165 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Holds or is working towards relevant post graduate qualifications
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
