POSITION SUMMARY: This position will work with the rest of the Comanche Language Department staff and consultants to create audio, video, and multimedia informational materials in physical, digital, and online formats. Key skills for this position include problem solving, listening to and incorporating feedback from many sources, research and data collection, gathering and synthesizing information, communicating with varied constituencies, building and sustaining relationships with diverse groups, and perseverance to overcome challenging issues and situations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collects, organizes, and makes accessible information and resources.
- Researches and develops approaches to communicate effectively with varied constituencies.
- Compiles and digitizes resources and material from outdated formats and technology.
- Creates new avenues for gathering input and feedback from varied constituencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REPORTS TO: Will report to the Language Department Director. Does not possess supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Employee must be able to climb, crouch, pull, push, reach, stand engage in repetitive motions, grasp, walk, feel, touch, speak, hear and see. Employee must be able to move and lift computing equipment. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5pm. Some weekends. Travel Required: Occasionally
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Professional and Confidential. Most of the work will be completed in an office setting with some in state and out of state travel required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or three (3) years or more of experience in Information Technology, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Multimedia Development or related field.
- Track record of prior work or educational experience with a Native language program, tribal government, or other relevant organization.
- Ability to read, analyze, and summarize information and make it accessible.
- Ability to manage social media, online meetings, online surveys, and related public relations and marketing tools.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational and research skills.
- Must possess a Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and be insurable under the Comanche Nation's Motor
- Vehicle Policy.
- Must be willing to submit to and pass Drug Testing.
