Human Factors- / Usability Engineer (m/f/d) for Medical Software Applications

About the role
Your task:
- Interacts with internal stakeholders within own department and departmental management, as well as external stakeholders which may include clients and customers.
- Influences internal and external parties, who regularly have divergent interests, to achieve short-term international and project objectives; represent the organization within area of responsibility.
- Supports the development process: starting with identifying the user needs, derives user requirements, makes a task analysis and negotiates with risk management the impact of use related errors and designs test strategies for user tests and concludes with post market surveillance.
- Coordination of all measures for compliance with national and international standards in the field of product development of medical devices such as IEC 62366-1 and FDA/NMPA regulations & guidelines (from analysis and design to evaluation of usability studies)
- Support in the creation of product information (e.g. IFU, SM & terminology)
- Process analysis & process optimization
- Development of operating concepts and support in the creation of user interfaces (e.g. GUI)
- Support of and exchange with application experts
Your Profile:
Training as a nursing/dialysis specialist with several years of professional experience or studies in Human Factors Engineering, in the field of life science or similar
- Good medical expertise in the field of renal replacement therapy and extracorporeal treatment procedures as well as the operation of hemodialysis machines
- Experienced Medical Software Applications prefferably for use in renal replacement therapy.
- Ideally practical experience with clinic management systems and the use of medical software in the field of renal replacement therapy.
- Ideally knowledge in the field of usability engineering and the application of usability methods for the development of usable dialysis products.
- High level of technical understanding
- Independent working style and initiative
- Good presentation and moderation skills
- Willingness to travel
- Very good knowledge of German and English (written and spoken)
