Production Associate - Thinset - 1st Shift (6AM - 2:30 PM) & 2nd Shift (2PM - 10:30 PM)

Job: Production Associate I

Reports To: Shift Supervisor/Plant Manager

Shift:  1st shift (6am – 2:30 pm) – 1 position

            2nd shift  (2 pm – 10:30 pm) – 1 position

Requirements

    

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate Mixing and Packaging Equipment in a Safe and Productive Manner
• Understand production standards and perform quality inspection of product as required.
• Input Data for production reporting.
• Adjust HMI for the bagging machines. 
• Make product changeovers as needed, including bag film, chemicals, pallets and slip sheets.
• Communicate with Supervisor on Safety, Quality, and Production issues.
• Comply with occupational safety regulations including LO/TO
• Use correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Maintain good housekeeping on production floor.
• Report any spills or Hazards to Supervisor
• Report any safety issues to Supervisor.
• Maintain chemical hopper levels.
• Trouble shoot equipment to keep operational.
• Performs tasks related to machine cleaning and minor preventative maintenance repairs as directed.
• Operate a forklift safely storing finished goods and retrieving raw materials.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities

• 1-3 years of experience as a machine operator in an industrial environment preferred.
• Computer Competency
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Above average Math Skills
• Familiar with operation of automated production equipment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and utilize material handling equipment.
• Familiar with forklift operation
• Team Player works well with others.

Salary Description Starting pay is $19.50/hour
