CoverMyMeds is looking to hire a Sr. Manager, Data Quality Operations to join our Data Engineering team! The Sr. Manager, Data Quality Operations is responsible for leading a team focused on ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data across transactional and analytical environments. This leader oversees manual and automated data validation, source-to-target testing, and monitoring activities that ensure data delivered to internal and external consumers meets defined standards and governance expectations.

To achieve this, the Sr. Manager partners closely with Data Technology, Data Governance, and Product teams to design and execute quality control processes, develop testing plans, and monitor ongoing data pipeline health. (Note: This team does not design or build data pipelines — its purpose is to validate and monitor the quality and accuracy of data flowing through them). As a collaborative and detail-oriented leader, this position drives consistency and accountability for data quality throughout the delivery lifecycle — from ingestion through reporting — enabling trusted, certified data products and improved confidence in enterprise analytics.

* Our preferred candidate will reside in the Columbus, OH area, however, we will consider a highly qualified candidate who resides in our other hub cities of Atlanta GA or Irving TX, or a fully remote candidate.

At this time, we are not able to offer sponsorship for employment visas. This includes individuals currently on F-1 OPT, STEM OPT, or any other visa status that would require future sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for current or future sponsorship.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and develop a team of Data Quality Analysts responsible for data validation, testing, and monitoring across multiple data domains and platforms

  • Design and implement quality assurance processes for data pipelines and transformations, including manual source-to-target testing, reconciliation, and defect logging

  • Develop and maintain data quality testing plans and checklists aligned to business and technical requirements for each release or project

  • Oversee data quality monitoring dashboards and alerts, ensuring critical data flows are actively tracked and issues are triaged promptly

  • Collaborate with Data Technology and Governance teams to identify root causes of data issues and define corrective actions that prevent recurrence

  • Define and maintain standards for data validation documentation, test evidence, and defect reporting

  • Provide reporting and transparency into data quality metrics, trends, and remediation progress to leadership and business partners

  • Partner with enterprise teams (e.g., Governance, MDM, Platform) to align data quality operations with broader data management and compliance frameworks

  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating tools, automation opportunities, and process enhancements that improve testing efficiency and data reliability

Skills You'll Need:

  • Typically 9+ years of professional experience, including 2+ years leading data quality or testing teams

  • Proven experience managing data quality operations in complex environments with multiple source systems and data flows

  • Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and source-to-target testing methodologies

  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, data integration concepts, and data warehouse or lakehouse architectures

  • Experience defining data quality metrics, KPIs, and monitoring frameworks

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into actionable test plans and validation criteria

  • Excellent organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on deadlines

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting technical findings to business and IT audiences
