NetApp Core Software and Data Management organization is actively seeking a Senior Manager and a quality leader for a Quality Engineering team. As part of the quality engineering function, the focus of this role is to own the vision, direction and execution for product quality, test automation development, CI/CD, regression test suites and customer success.
This Sr. Manager, Quality Engineering requires the manager to be technically strong, experienced in test strategy and automation, possess strong leadership, able to work with cross-functional teams, and driven to ensure delivery of high-quality features.
Responsibilities
- Establish a strong connection between customer scenarios and pre-release test coverage and automation.
- Lead design and building of automated tests for storage solutions on premise or cloud.
- Proven ability to manage and lead remote teams.
- Empower your team to learn and grow and support them in their career goals.
- Build and promote a work environment that is highly collaborative and team centric.
- Collaborate with leadership team to ensure we are building the best teams.
- Interface and work with feature development teams for early performance measurement activities during the development cycle.
- A willingness to work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will positively contribute towards team, department, and company goals.
- Prioritize multiple competing priorities.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
- 8 + years’ experience managing and leading quality engineering teams working on enterprise products in a high-growth, fast-paced system software engineering company.
- Track record of hiring, growing, and nurturing cohesive, high performing quality engineering teams remote and geographically located.
- A track record of "followership" - people want to work for and with you.
- Experience in qualifying system level products in industries like on-prem, hybrid-cloud, storage systems.
- Experience leading design and build of automated tests for on-prem or cloud.
- The candidate should be self-driven, with a strong quality background.
- Ability to work with cross functional teams and internal partners.
- Experience with Agile/SCRUM
Education
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
