Job Description

THE POSITION:

The Nurse Network Coordinator is responsible for coordinating patient care by assisting in the contracting of independent nurse consultants and nursing agencies (nurse network) to provide care to our patients.  This position creates the renewal agreement and works closely with care team nurses to process the renewal agreement to approved status. The Nurse Network Coordinator audits the nurse’s medical visit notes for completeness and accurateness; and they reconcile these visit note submissions with proposed payments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

These results are achieved by:

  • Timely and efficient coordination of patient care via a contracted nurse
  • Ensure complete and accurate visit notes are entered and retained in system
  • Ensure nursing visit payments are made accurately, timely and according to contract terms
  • All other duties as assigned

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Review nursing visit notes for completeness and process into the patient medical record
  • Ensure completed nursing visit notes are paid per contracted rate
  • Submit accurate accounts payment information to corporate for processing
  • Research and collect delinquent nurse visit notes
  • Handle inbound calls from the nurse consultants
  • Maintain current credentialing on all nurse consultants
  • Ensure contracted agencies have active licenses
  • Maintain active contracts on file with the nurse consultants and nursing agencies
  • Assist with  nursing agency assessments and nursing contract updates
  • Support clinical staff with mailings and faxes as needed

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years customer service and processing experience required
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to adapt and handle unexpected situations
  • Computer proficiencies, including Microsoft office
  • Ability to work weekdays, including possible weekend and evenings as needed
