Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under broad direction, leads, plans and implements the sourcing of Electronics prototype materials and services for New Technology Product Development and the Technology Life Cycle Process – typically low volumes, accelerated delivery time frames, and a flexible change management approach due to R&D processes (i.e. revisions).
- Functions as the key supply chain Lead for high impact Technology Life Cycle Projects to develop and implement effective, and value added supply chain solutions.
- Reads and interprets technical engineering documentation and requirements (i.e. drawings, specifications…) to develop and implement a sourcing approach in collaboration with the Technology / Engineering stakeholders.
- Creates request for quotations (RFQs) or organizes competitive biddings with negotiations from various suppliers to obtain best quality, delivery, and supply chain risk management (i.e. single/sole sourcing) and price for goods and services.
- Coordinates and implements agreements (i.e. NDAs, contracts, T&Cs…) with global / international suppliers thru collaboration support from internal Teams / Subject Matter Experts.
- Creates new Purchase Orders (POs) and follows up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery with the needed quality per material / service requirements.
- Implements fast paced, creative and integrated Supply Chain Solutions per Technology requirements, for which ready-available market products / services are limited or not existing.
- Supports and coordinates all activities related to the PO Life Cycle and Product / Service Delivery: Logistics, Import / Export Compliance, Supplier Invoice and Payment resolutions…
- Complies with all Supply Chain Policies / Practices
Qualifications:
- Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in a related field and at least 7 to 10 years of experience with a strong focus in Electronics. Must be experienced and knowledgeable of all supply chain job description requirements.
Required
- Excellent Technical-Commercial Electronics knowledge (i.e. PCBAs and semi-conductors, connectors, sensors…) to support the Technology Stakeholders with supply chain / sourcing solutions
- Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills
- Can work very autonomously under general direction from Leadership and Stakeholders to meet the Technology Procurement Value Proposition and Mission,
- Self-starter, entrepreneurial and creative mindset – can develop and implement complex supply chain solutions (i.e. new prototype) , which are often not ready-available on the market
- Excellent Team Player – collaborates with Teams / Stakeholders and Suppliers to develop and implement solutions.
- Strong Stakeholder (our internal customer) focused approach – we strive to exceed expectations.
- Can work very fast paced to meet stringent prototype timeliness and product /service requirements.
- Comfortable with change management (i.e. orders, acceleration…) due to the R&D processes (i.e. product changes / revisions).
- High Integrity, impeccable Ethics and open / good communication skills
