Job Description

As the Storage Standards & Ecosystem Engineering leader, regular responsibilities include but are limited to:

Owner of storage standards strategy for Solidigm with full accountability Develops unique insights on platform and ecosystem trends to give Solidigm a first-mover advantage Orchestrates storage eco-system to rapidly accept Solidigm innovations Significant contributions to the architecture of SSDs and solutions including AI-specific storage needs Works collaboratively with largest cloud and storage vendors to innovate new solutions Work closely with internal teams such as ASIC and firmware development for end-to-end solution viability Coordinate priorities and activities with other engineering stakeholders to accomplish committed milestones

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

The ability to listen, understand and respond professionally to partner questions and issues while building trust Excellent written and presentation skills A history of self-starting and effective multitasking, with strong influencing and leadership skills

Qualifications

The below minimum qualifications must be met to be considered for this position.  Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Requirements:

 

Qualifications

  • The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in the following areas:
    • Deep relationships with ability to influence partners and competitors in storage and memory ecosystem
    • Strong track record of influencing industry standards. 
    • Capable of successfully driving Solidigm’s proposals industry-wide. Working with storage standard bodies such as NVME, SNIA, JEDEC, etc.
    • Strong knowledge of platform and ecosystem architecture Capable of influencing tradeoffs for end customers for storage and AI Understands technology end-to-end, from the NAND transistor through the platform / rack up to datacenter
    • Strong business acumen to understand repercussions of technical directions
    • Capable of publicly representing Solidigm in conferences, presenting to wide audiences on behalf of the company

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in the following areas:
    • Technical development in storage devices and solid-state drives
    • Technical understanding of storage host CPUs / NPUs / GPUs and tradeoffs for storage
    • Understanding of security protocols for storage and industry standards relating to security
    • Structured software development and practices, analytical problem solving, innovation and a mindset of continuous improvement
    • Customer requirements definition, clarification, and technical assessment

Additional Information

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $201
