Director, Supplier Industrialization Engineering (SIE)

The Director of Supplier Industrialization Engineering (SIE) plays a pivotal role in leading a growing SIE team and partnering with internal engineering, quality, supply chain and manufacturing departments. This role will establish a high-bar of performance based on metrics and create innovative management strategies and tools to enable the industrialization of Anduril’s cutting-edge products while meeting fast-paced launch timelines across the globe. This role partners heavily with internal and external teams, traveling to suppliers in different regions, with the goal of delivering on time quantities of high quality component parts for Anduril’s production processes and enable extremely rapid development cycles and product launches.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Build, manage, and develop a growing team of high-performing SIE Engineers with a strong focus on collaboration and technical excellence.
• Provide hands-on training, coaching and mentorship to develop the skills and expertise of team members.
• Improve existing tools and create effective approached to quality management in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
• Develop, manage, audit, improve and correct supplier planning and execution of component manufacturing, assembly techniques and quality control processes from the advanced development phase to mass production qualification.
• Provide leadership for New Product Introduction (NPI) at Suppliers and lead supplier improvements in scalability, cost, and quality.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of SIE projects and programs, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• On a day-to-day basis, lead the team to follow-up and escalate with work cross functional teams on SIE project and program progress, resolving issues and adjusting as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
• Partner with Engineering and other internal/external stakeholders to collect feedback and act as a communication portal between parties in order to 100% align on all requirements and improve the quality of supplies at the source while reducing the inspection needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of experience managing a team of engineers and/or technical project/program managers.
• Experience with specific category technical expertise as applicable. I.e. PCBA manufacturing, IPC standards, SMT processing, CAD, GD&T.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Masters degree in engineering or supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and certifications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
• Ability to travel extensively to supplier locations as needed.

US Salary Range$190,000—$285,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
