Technical Product Lead

Job Overview

The main purpose of the role is to evaluate, prioritize, and lead execution of various projects and enhancements dealing with sustaining and/or improving product quality and delivery. 

 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Develop and maintain a portfolio of all ongoing product-related issues and associated projects, including Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs)
• Work with the appropriate cross-functional representatives from Product Management, Supply chain, Quality, Regulatory, etc to prioritize product-related projects and CAPAs
• Create and maintain a Product Care roadmap based on prioritization of projects and CAPAs
• Work with cross-functional department heads to obtain necessary resources to support the Product Care portfolio
• Develop and manage project timelines for all product-care projects
• Serve as owner for all product-related CAPAs, develop detailed CAPA timelines, and manage CAPA phases
• Attend all pertinent product-care forums, such as CAPA Review Board, Monthly Metrics, and local Project Council
• Report on status of individual projects and CAPAs, as well as state of the overall Product Care roadmap, to Senior Leadership

 

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other related technical field
• 5-7 years of R&D or engineering experience supporting product design and manufacturing, preferably in medical devices or a comparable FDA regulated industry
• PMP certification is a plus

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Previous working knowledge in the following areas is strongly desired: Six Sigma and continuous improvement processes, CAPA, design controls, and product and process development
• Experience in managing complex projects
• Knowledge of Medical device regulations and quality management systems
• Must demonstrate effective listening, verbal and written communication, sound judgment, be well organized, take initiative, be flexible, work well under pressure, work effectively with both employee and management and be able to facilitate resolution of complex issues.

Salary range:  $110K - $145K
