The role

Infinite Reality is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a focus on full-stack development to join our Studio team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and enhancing our immersive web technology stack, contributing to iR Studio, our product transforming the ways in which people create and interact with immersive content.

You will work across the full stack — from building high-performance, interactive 3D applications with Three.js and React, to optimizing backend services using Node.js and MySQL. Your expertise will directly influence the performance, scalability, and quality of our immersive web experiences, helping to push the boundaries of what is possible within these environments.

In addition to hands-on development, you will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to define requirements, design solutions, and troubleshoot complex issues. Your role will involve mentoring junior engineers, improving our development processes, and driving the technical evolution of our systems to meet both current and future needs.

What you’ll do

• Lead Full-Stack Development: Take ownership of both front-end and back-end development, building high-performance web applications with React, Three.js, Node.js, and MySQL. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring seamless integration of interactive 3D graphics, dynamic UI elements, and scalable backend services that power immersive virtual experiences.
• Innovate with Graphics and Web Technologies: Drive the technical direction of immersive web experiences, pushing the boundaries of interactive graphics using technologies like WebGL, WebGPU, and OpenGL. Your work will help enhance the realism and performance of our digital environments.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with design, product, and engineering teams to define project requirements, architect robust solutions, and iterate on features. You’ll ensure that both technical and user experience goals are met with every release.
• Optimize and Scale: Focus on improving the performance, scalability, and maintainability of both client-side and server-side applications. From optimizing web rendering to streamlining backend processes, you’ll ensure that our applications perform seamlessly at scale.
• Mentor and Guide: Lead by example, providing mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers. Help elevate the team's capabilities by promoting best practices in software development, code quality, testing, and debugging.
• Contribute to Development Infrastructure: Play a key role in enhancing our CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and deployment workflows, ensuring a smooth and efficient development process for the team.
• Troubleshoot and Solve Complex Problems: Take a proactive approach to identifying, troubleshooting, and solving issues within the codebase. Whether it’s debugging complex rendering issues or optimizing backend performance, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining a high-quality codebase.
