Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and board-certified Pulmonologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and a passion for respiratory medicine. With at least two years of experience in critical care and pulmonary medicine, the Pulmonologist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a variety of pulmonary conditions and diseases.
Patient Diagnosis and Treatment:
- Diagnose and treat patients with a range of respiratory disorders, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and interstitial lung disease.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and pulmonary function testing.
- Manage patients requiring ventilator support, including those in intensive care settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including critical care specialists, oncologists, and radiologists, to develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
Procedural Expertise:
- Conduct advanced diagnostic procedures to evaluate lung function and pathology.
- Provide specialized care for patients with complex pulmonary conditions, including those with sleep disorders or lung infections.
- Manage airway issues and provide emergency respiratory care as needed.
Patient Education and Advocacy:
- Educate patients on the importance of smoking cessation, lung health, and other preventive measures.
- Participate in public health initiatives related to respiratory diseases, promoting awareness and early detection.
- Advocate for patients by ensuring they receive appropriate referrals to other specialists when necessary.
Qualifications
- Board certification in Pulmonary Medicine.
- Active medical license to practice as a physician.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in critical care or pulmonary medicine.
- Proficiency in airway management and experience with ventilator support.
- Experience in hospital-based pulmonology and familiarity with complex cases involving critical care settings.
- Knowledge of pediatric pulmonary conditions is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical coding and documentation, ensuring accurate and comprehensive patient records.
- Interest or experience in oncology, medical imaging, orthopedics, or related specialties is advantageous.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in pulmonary medicine.
