IT Security Assessment Authorization Engineer (Hybrid)

Overview

• Tier One Technologies has an immediate need for an IT Security Assessment/Authorization Engineer to support our US Government client.
• This hybrid Contract-to-Hire position can be based in Falls Church, VA, Morrisville, NC or Eagan, MN.
• SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Track security violations and identify trends or exposures that could be addressed by additional training, technical measures, or use of application tools to enhance security.
• Provide guidance and support to junior cybersecurity analysts and other IT staff on security best practices and procedures.
• Monitor and analyze security events and incidents to identify and respond to potential security breaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of experience in IT security specializing in assessments and authorizations.
• Expertise utilizing ServiceNow, including development and integration.
• Prior experience with A&A (Assessment and Authorization); C&A (Certification and Accreditation), compliance and GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tool.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
• Be able to pass a drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
• Must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
