Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Full-Time

Position Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Inpatient and Outpatient)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Senior Therapist, Clinic Supervisor, Therapy Manager, Therapy Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

The position assists the Occupational Therapists (OTR) in carrying out treatment plans which have been established specifically for the patient.  The OTR will delegate and provide appropriate supervision to the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) as required by the education and training level of the assistant.

Starting Wage: $29.00/hour.

The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position.  Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position.  The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.  

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Licensure:

• Current NBCOT certification as a COTA.

• Current BLS certification 

• Completion of competencies and other job-related and REHAB requirements.  

Education:

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant Program, approved by the ACOTE accredited school..

Skills/Experience:

• Ability to safely and effectively manage patients’ mobility.

• Ability to clearly communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

• Ability to safely provide care to patients.
