Location: Benton and Franklin County, WA

Type: Per Diem

Anticipated Schedule: Flexible (see per diem requirements)

Position Overview:


As a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients in a hospice setting. Working under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with terminal illnesses and supporting their families during difficult times. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with activities of daily living, ensure their comfort, and provide emotional support to both patients and their loved ones.


Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School graduate or equivalent G.E.D.

2. Licensed in the State of Washington as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

3. This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen which includes cannabis testing in Washington State.


Per Diem Requirements:

1. Available to work two (2) shifts per month. 

2. Available to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

3. Available to work two (2) holidays per twelve (12) month period.

Compensation


Pay Range: $19.00 - $32.00

Starting Range: $19.00 - $25.00


Premiums:

· $2.50/hour Weeknight

· $2.25/hour Weekend Day

· $4.75/hour Weekend Night

At Tri-Cities Chaplaincy, we carefully establish salary ranges for our positions by taking various factors into account, including education, certifications, knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions. These ranges are tailored to match the diverse programs and services we offer. Our goal is to ensure fair compensation for candidates based on these factors while maintaining internal peer equity.


Benefits 

  • Mileage Reimbursement: $0.67 per mile, for eligible positions.
  • Sick Time: Earned on an accrual basis, with a 90-day hold for new hires (usable after 90 days)
  • Holiday Pay: Holiday pay for worked holidays.
  • Health Benefits: Opt-in for Low Deductible Health Benefits, Vision, and Dental starting the first month following your start date.
  • Premium Pay: Bilingual in Spanish: Verified through ALTA staff testing and Approved Certifications: Premium pay upon review and approval.
  • Continuing Education Units: Tri-Cities chaplaincy utilizes Relias Learning and CAPC for employees to earn continuing education units for their credential requirements.

AGENCY REQUIREMENTS

1. Demonstrate support and adherence to the agency’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

2. Participate in community Education and Outreach to raise awareness of agency-provided programs including but not limited to hospice care, advanced care planning, and bereavement.

3. Responsible for knowledge and compliance with agency policies, procedures, and practices.

4. Responsible for maintaining and protecting Patient and agency information in a confidential manne
