POSITION TITLE: Quality Assurance Engineer
DIV/DEPARTMENT NAME: Systems Products Division
REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager, Operations
POSITION STATUS: Full-Time
WORK LOCATION: Greenville, SC (GSC)
WORK STYLE DESIGNATION: onsite

Pay Range: $84,951-116,808 per year
This pay range is for the position's base salary only. This position may be eligible for other compensation including incentive pay and/or allowances. Candidates will receive additional information during the interview and selection process.
POSITION SUMMARY

Support division’s quality goals and objectives. Perform activities that promote continuous product quality and reliability. Assist with overall Quality System requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Major Responsibilities/Activities (List in order of importance the essential functions of the job and the approximate percentage of time spent on each of the activities; describe what must be accomplished, not how it must be done; include supervision or management responsibilities, quality and quantity standards, and % Time (as applicable.)
- Develops, maintains, and communicates work procedures for assembly, inspection, and testing.
- Provides training on work procedures to assembly/testing operators as needed. Ensure that daily assembly and test records are complete and accurate.
- Develops and maintains procedures for inspection of incoming materials.
- Evaluates actual or suspect non-confirming materials, and prepares report of findings.
- Completes First Article Inspections to included related documentation.
- Reviews and analyzes assembly and testing processes to resolve any quality-related issues.
- Assist with analysis of RMAs, including disposition of findings.
- Evaluates product failures and conducts root cause analysis.
- Performs internal quality audits.
- Maintains Quality System Data.
- Prepares various technical documentation and reports to support quality and engineering group.
- Other projects as assigned to support Quality and business requirements.
EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical field required.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Quality Assurance experience in Manufacturing environment 3 Yrs.+ (required)
- Quality Assurance experience in Aerospace Industry (preferred)
- Electronic Test experience (preferred)
- Minimal domestic travel may be required
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work with employees at all levels to achieve quality goals.
- Troubleshoot assembly and testing processes in manufacturing environment.
- Drive continuous product and process improvement.
- Knowledge of Quality Concepts: Corrective/Preventive Action, Root Cause Analysis, First Article Inspection, Document Control.
- Basic Statistics knowledge.
- Familiar with documentation required by quality systems and aerospace industry.
- Excellent computer skills, to include use of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, and other quality related software.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet required deadlines.
- Ability to write and communicate technical documentation to wide range of audiences.
- Ability to use basic engineering tools and instruments.
