About the Role
A small group of organisations under a family trust is looking for a skilled Virtual Accountant to provide ongoing support across multiple entities. We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to manage key accounting functions and ensure compliance with Australian financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weekly bank reconciliation using Xero
- Processing weekly payroll
- Managing quarterly superannuation contributions
- Preparing and lodging Australian BAS (Business Activity Statements)
- Coordinating with stakeholders across 2–3 small entities
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in Xero
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll, superannuation, and BAS requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Experience working with multiple business units or clients is an advantage
- Reliable, proactive, and highly organised
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable handling accounting tasks for multiple small organisations
