We are currently seeking a full-time Quality Analyst II in our West Jordan, Utah area!
The Quality Analyst II plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of hardware products. This position is responsible for conducting advanced testing, analyzing data, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to maintain high product standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, experience with hardware testing, and a passion for delivering high-quality technology to customers.
Duties include:
Testing & Quality Control
- Perform comprehensive quality analysis and functional testing on hardware components.
- Develop and execute test plans, protocols, and procedures to evaluate hardware performance, durability, and compliance.
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Conduct inspections of finished or in-process goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect and analyze test data to identify trends, failure patterns, and areas for product improvement.
- Use quality metrics to ensure consistency in product performance.
- Create detailed reports summarizing findings, defects, and suggested enhancements.
- Assess and report on the impact of process changes on quality.
Process Improvement
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to refine production processes and reduce defect rates.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control methodologies and best practices.
- Investigate quality failures and recommend changes to internal procedures to prevent future quality issues.
- Provide feedback on design improvements to engineering teams to enhance product quality.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all hardware products meet quality standards, safety regulations, and company quality benchmarks.
- Support internal and external audits related to quality control.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work cross-functionally internal teams to address quality concerns.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss quality challenges and progress.
- 2-5 years of experience in hardware quality assurance, preferably in AV or consumer electronics.
- Strong understanding of AV technologies, and hardware components.
- Experience with testing tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis and defect tracking.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical findings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Performs work under general supervision, handling moderately complex issues and escalating more complex problems.
- Possesses solid working knowledge of quality assurance principles.
- May provide leadership and coaching.
Preferred:
- Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
- Knowledge of acoustics, display calibration, and AV networking protocols.
- Hands-on experience with environmental and stress testing of hardware.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly wage is negotiable based on skill level and experience.
