As a Security Officer - Retail Access Control in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading retail location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. Your presence and engagement will support loss prevention efforts, contribute to access control, and foster a sense of trust within the community. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or unusual activity within the location to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist visitors, customers, and/or employees by providing information and guidance as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or any security-related events encountered during patrols.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a positive and secure experience for everyone at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Possession of a valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
