The Learning and Development Specialist will serve as a key member of the Human Resources Department, which provides comprehensive services in recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, and coordination of employee engagement and recognition initiatives. In addition, Human Resources leads the organization’s efforts in leadership development, talent management, and performance management, ensuring employees have the support, resources, and pathways needed to excel and grow within the Auditor’s Office.

This role serves as a member of the HR team, responsible for creating and executing employee development plans that support business objectives and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Examples of duties
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in learning and development, instructional design, education, communications, or related field.
Experience
• 6+ years in training development, instructional design, or learning management.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading others in a learning environment.
• Experience creating training materials and learning resources.
• Experience developing or facilitating content related to communication skills, conflict navigation, or behavior-based development is preferred.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LMS platforms, e-learning tools, Zoom, and digital learning technologies.
