Role Description
The WWTP e Utilities Expert is responsible to carry out the operations of the WWTP & Utility Systems for the Catania site in support of manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the management of WWTP and plant utilities systems, such as steam, trigenerator, chilled water, compressed air, clean utilities (PW, WFI, clean compressed air) and carry out all the needed operations
- Perform the needed activities like lab analysis, parameters registration and checking the correct running of all utilities plants
- Support EMU colleague to develop, implement and maintain Utilities performance, execute strategic and operational plans and promote innovation
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities and assist in equipment troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality while adhering to EHS regulations and cGMPs
- Support to maintain management systems (procedures, training, routine self-audits, etc) to assure continuous compliance with air, waste water and waste management legal and company requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Education: industrial or chemical high school diploma or similar is required
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an industrial / manufacturing maintenance / operation environment
- Minimum of three chemical/pharmaceutical API manufacturing plant experience is preferred
- Knowledge in Industrial Hygiene
- Waste Water Plant, Chiller, Purified Water Plant, Compressed Air & Air Drying/filtration equipment extensive knowledge.
- SAP knowledge is preferred
Qualifications:
- Steam boiler license to conduct steam generators - II grade (mandatory)
Core Competencies:
- Intermediate computer skills (e.g. MS Office including Excel and Word) are essential
- Excellent written and verbal Italian skills
- Good written and verbal English skills is preferred
- Team player and able to build and maintain relationships both internal and external
- Demonstrate strong writing skills including preparing technical reports, creation of new documents, the revision of various technical documentation and procedures
- Flexible to change and open to constructive feedback
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a strong knowledge of technical practices for related utilities
- Strong understanding of asset care program development
- Ability to manage/coordinate multiple tasks at one time in a fast and regulated environment
- Dynamic leadership skills to motivate, coach, and empower team
- Strong knowledge of GMP compliance, safety and other regulatory standard related to the relevant utilities and WWTP
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
