Project Manager

The Project Manager is charged with owning highly complex projects that are instrumental to both our internal and client needs. We’re looking for marketing professionals with expertise in project management and organization. While the PM will partner with Account Executives to work with our clients, the PM is part of the Operations team to have an internal focus to be able to manage all projects and deliverables for each of those clients’ initiatives. This person must be the resident expert on all things systems and process. You will be expected to proactively find efficiencies and drive collaboration to ensure that projects are completed on time. This individual must have experience working in a similar role within a marketing agency or marketing department with a multi-disciplinary team, including account leads, creatives, branding, digital, and leadership. The PM will work closely under the guidance of our Director of Operations and Senior Director of Accounts.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assigned to specific clients and will partner with account lead for those clients
• On all client communication, including meetings and email
• During client meetings, often walking through questions to get feedback for the team and reviewing priorities
• Leads communication with client in account lead’s absence
• Provides client-facing schedules and / or dashboards to share progress and information
• Create status meeting agendas with the account lead
• Collaborates with account lead to prioritize work, often speaking into and making recommendations on how to approach work
• Coordinates with account lead to initiate work
• Creates all assignments and workbook schedules for all deliverables for client initiatives in project management system
• Follows up and maintains projects in project management system in a timely fashion
• Proactively gets ahead of any roadblocks and checks in with the team (creative, digital, brand) as needed
• Collaborates with Operations Team as needed for team assignments, re-arranging of schedules, and finding efficiencies, while always looking to improve processes and systems
• On production-based deliverables
  • Receives feedback from the client and passes on to the team, or follows up with necessary questions
  • Rallies the team when there needs to be further discussions before moving forward
  • Proofs work to ensure everything is accounted for
  • Shares new drafts with the client for their review

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or related field
• 3-7 years of marketing agency experience
• Proficient in using project management systems to share and track information, schedules, and deliverables
• Excellent communicator in both written and verbal form
• Must be able to collaborate with the team when necessary, but also work independently to ensure deadlines are met
• Good self-awareness of working style and time-management skills
• Social, personable, and leads with empathy
