FACILITIES TECH I

Position Summary Description

Maintains landscape/grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Will typically perform a variety of tasks which may include any combination of the following: Mowing, trimming, planting, digging, raking, sprinkler repair and installation. Assist with Mailroom, fleet vehicles maintenance and detailing.

Essential Functions

• Maintains the building, equipment and landscaping of the grounds for Seminole Electric Headquarters (Tampa) and the Business Continuity Center ("BUCC" - Spring Hill)
• Works with and escorts contractors
• Takes fleet vehicles for car washing/detailing/maintenance
• Perform other duties as applicable to the position or as assigned 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High School diploma.  Mechanical aptitude a plus.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to follow established protective measures including wearing required PPE. Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report. Must be able to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs. of weight.

Working Conditions

Some travel and work outside of normal business hours. Rotating on call schedule.
