Warehouse Manager

Job Type: Full TimeDescription: PingWind is seeking a Warehouse Manager to support the Department of the Army Location: Macdill AFB Required Clearance: Secret with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree is DesiredRequired Experience: Ten (10) years of supervisory experience in a logistics, materials, purchasing environment.
Responsibilities:·        Develop and implement strategies to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity, and accuracy.·        Coordinate and oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods and materials.·        Monitor and optimize workflow processes to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.·        Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counting and stock reconciliations.·        Oversee the proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage and loss.·        Implement inventory management systems to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient stock rotation.·        Lead, motivate, and train warehouse staff, fostering a positive and high-performance work culture.·        Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct performance evaluations for warehouse personnel.·        Provide coaching and guidance to team members to improve their skills and productivity.·        Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations within the warehouse.·        Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.·        Educate warehouse staff on safety protocols and best practices to prevent accidents and injuries.·        Implement quality control measures to maintain the highest standards for product handling and storage. Collaborate with other departments to address quality issues and resolve customer complaints effectively.·        Oversee maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning.·        Monitor facility conditions and implement improvements to ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment.·        Assist in budget preparation and manage warehouse-related expenses to optimize cost-effectiveness.·        Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements without compromising quality or efficiency. Requirements·        Proven experience in warehouse management or a related supervisory role·        Knowledge of Base Operation Support and Services contract operations·        Experience with materials inventory, purchasing and accounting automated system(s)·        Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and best practices·        Previous supervisory experience in a logistics, materials, purchasing environment  ·        Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software·        Provide instruction on the management of all Logistics Department vehicles·        Provide direction for safe handling, storage & disposition of government Furnished Property   Preferred Qualifications: preferred BS/BA Degree in relevant field
