With a future mill expansion and the integration of New Ingerbelle, the Copper Mountain Mine is expected to produce approximately 140 million pounds of copper equivalent per year over the first 20 years of its 32-year mine life based on reserves. The Opportunity:

 

Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Counter Person at our Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, BC. This position is a 5x2, Monday to Friday, day shift schedule with a compress work schedule option.

Warehouse Counter Person

 Location

Hudbay - Copper Mountain Mine, located near the town of Princeton, British Columbia at the center of the scenic Similkameen Valley. Princeton is a community-oriented town with a diverse offering of activities, especially for those who love the outdoors.  Princeton is also in close proximity to both the city of Vancouver and the Okanagan.

Summary

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Counter Person is responsible for providing supply chain support to the Mine and Mill departments to ensure the timely delivery of parts and materials required to support production at the Copper Mountain mine site. 

Responsibilities 

 

• Monitor warehouse counter and act as resource to assist end use customers,
• Process material reservations,
• Pick, package materials and have available for pickup materials off of material reservations,
• Monitor material reservations list and perform housekeeping as required on list,
• Identify part number corrections, changes, or additions,
• Assist personnel with the location and identification of parts,
• Ensure that stock shelves are maintained in a neat and orderly condition,
• Daily housekeeping activities such as cleaning, sweeping and garbage removal,
• Run various reports and assists in basic warehousing activities,
• Fill propane cylinders for end-use departments (when required),
• Make certain that warehouse, yards, and outbuildings are maintained in a neat and orderly condition,
• Perform physical inventory counts and stock adjustments of all warehouse stock items (when required),
• Identify, confirm, and receive all incoming material (when required),
• Unload freight using a forklift (when required),
• Performs other responsibilities as required or as assigned by the department supervisor.
