Program Manager, Maritime Industrial Growth

Overview

R&P is looking for a motivated and experienced maritime industry professional who wants to join our executive leadership team. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management, Technical and Industrial Services to government and commercial clients in the shipbuilding and maritime supplier markets. We need a senior Program Manager ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment. This position will provide executive, strategic, analytical and management services to grow the Company's maritime industrial business and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support R&P’ Strategic Business Plan and Growth objectives.
• Lead the development of new maritime industrial base capabilities and company offerings to U.S. Navy and commercial maritime customers.
• Build and sustain R&P operations in the U.S. Navy Fleet concentration, Shipyard, and supplier areas.
• In collaboration with the R&P Executive Team, contribute to achieving company goals and objectives.
• Develop and continuously maintain a shipbuilding, ship repair, ship modernization, and supplier network.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of target markets for R&P business growth.
• Continually engage with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and future orders.
• In consultation with the Senior Vice President for Technical and Industrial Operations, the Vice President for Engineering, and other on the executive team, develop strategies and plans to achieve capability and business growth.
• Participate in regular business development meetings to maintain situational awareness of company direction.
• Participate in regular program management reviews and ensure contractual, financial, and technical progress and issues are addressed.
• Contribute to the development of company and divisional operating budgets.
• Formalize and maintain a division-wide training program to support capability growth.
• Working with other Program Mangers, Controllers, and Contracting Officers, assist in the management of contracts/subcontracts.
• Perform programmatic analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, conclusions, findings, and recommendations.
• Develop reports, briefs, and presentations for executive level meetings and events.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience of over 20 years of professional experience in Maritime and/or Defense contracting and business development processes.
• 15 years of experience in maritime supplier business management is required.
• 10 years of demonstrated supervisory experience is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DOD acquisition management, contract, technical, and business management is required.
• Must possess and exercise diplomatic tact and have the capability and capacity to develop and manage complex business relationships with multiple organizations.
• Must be proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and tools.
• SECRET security clearance is required.

Salary

R&P offers a highly competitive compensation package that includes contributions towards health insurance, 401(k) matching, and other non-salary benefits. Exact salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
