About the Role

DoorDash is hiring an exceptional, business-minded commercial lawyer to join our legal team. You will own projects that make an immediate impact on a fast-growing, dynamic business. You will work with many facets of the organization that support our Merchant Partners, such as Product Partnerships, Sales and Strategy & Operations. You will negotiate high-value deals with strategic partners as well as automate and streamline lower-touch, high-velocity work. The ideal candidate will be someone who is creative and thinks outside-the-box, is a self-starter who takes ownership over initiatives, and is hands-on taking into consideration the lowest level of detail.

• You have a J.D. and are admitted to any US state bar
• You have 8+ years legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
• You have a strong track record of drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including sales agreements, MSAs, software and technology agreements, and partnership agreements
• You love getting things right, but that doesn’t stop you from getting things done
• You don’t miss the forest for the trees, but you also don’t miss the trees
• You lead, organize, prioritize, and manage projects effectively

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
