Requirements:- Nurse practitioner with certification to provide care in Michigan or Physician Assistant with license to practice in Michigan and unrestricted DEA license.

Medical clinician with practice experience preferably pediatrics or family practice with a passion for service school aged children in a FQHC environment.

Management experience in clinical operations preferred.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
- Basic Life Support/CPR training according to requirements of license and/or certification.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff members.
- Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions.
- Ability to effectively communicate with diverse individuals and groups.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and decisions.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and to accept and utilize criticism when given.

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ensures that the school-based health centers are providing full range of health and support services based on the needs assessment of the targeted population/community.
- Monitors the medical services provided.
- With the assistance of the Chief Medical Officer or their designee and the Director, School Programs, approves clinical policies, procedures, protocols and standing orders.
- Develops and implements standards of care.
- Assures the delivery of quality medical care while assisting in Quality Assurance programs.
- Ensures that medical clinicians are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and procedures specific to their jobs.
- Understands and adheres to Cherry Health’s compliance standards as they appear in Cherry Health’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Cherry Health’s regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Provide direct patient care and treatment.
- Demonstrate leadership and management skills that foster a culture of mentoring, coaching, motivating and engaging staff.
- Model and communicate key values in the community and to staff in a way that supports Cherry Health’s mission.
- Educate and empower staff to be adept at meeting current and future organizational communication needs, and adjust scheduled staff hours of work, priorities, and assignments to ensure efficient operation, based on workload.
- Direct, supervise, train, evaluate competencies and address performance issues consistently, promptly and appropriately.
