Summary:
Enhance the clinical strategy of Memorial Healthcare System, champion quality, align providers to reduce variation in care, drive physician engagement, foster clinical effectiveness and implement a culture of excellence in the delivery of clinical services.Responsibilities:
Provides strategic clinical advice and counsel for new and existing clinical services.Leads a team of hospital based CMOs and chiefs of staff to oversee and improve engagement with employed, contracted and independent members of the medical staff and to set and administer standards of professionalism.Serves as the clinical voice of the health system to the community and local officials, developing effective and productive relationships in the community, and enhancing community health.Serves as the chief clinical officer for Memorial Healthcare System and is a member of the executive leadership team.Works collaboratively with other senior leaders to create and implement a system strategic plan to improve and enhance clinical quality and safety.Directs the use of clinical analytics to monitor performance (efficacy, quality, safety, patient satisfaction and efficiency) of clinical services. Works with the leaders of clinical programs, hospital CMOs, and nursing leadership to continually improve clinical performance.Continues to enhance the current culture in which physicians are fully engaged and aligned with organizational goals and which is characterized by shared decision-making and mutual support.Provides leadership to the professional and leadership development of physicians.Oversees clinical quality and patient safety programs for all clinical services, in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings, for Memorial Healthcare System.Fosters the development and implementation of effective workforce initiatives around the delivery or care, including efforts to ensure a robust pipeline of new providers.Brings the health system opportunities for innovation and use of new technologies such as genomics, robotics, artificial intelligence, etc.As the clinical strategist for Memorial, develops and implements processes that promote innovative care delivery models that are patient centered and improve the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of clinical services.Works with other organizational leaders to develop new and innovative service and care delivery models such as managed care of populations, remote care and new ambulatory services.Guides continued development of the academic missions of education and research. Works with the chief academic officer and program directors to assure quality, accreditation, and appropriate growth of graduate medical education programs. Works with the chief medical research officer and clinical program leaders to grow clinical research and assure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.Represents Memorial Healthcare System regionally and nationally, as appropriate.Competencies:

Medical Doctor (Required)Medical Doctor License (ME LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL), Osteopathic Physician License (OS LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)Additional Job Information:
Complexity of Work: Substantial track record of leadership in a complex, high-performing, multi-hospital health system preferably with a graduate medical education, clinical research and large children's health programs. Strong clinical background with an ability to support and build research and academic programs. Required Work Experience: 3 years of relevant system-wide medical leadership experience within a multi-facility health system with a strong clinical background and an ability to support and build research and academic programs. Other Information: MD or DO degree, along with primary and/or sub-specialty board certification, and current licensure or eligibility to practice medicine in the state of Florida is required. An advanced degree in healthcare or business-related field is highly desirable.Additional Education Info: Doctoral degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited School of Medicine or College of Osteopathic Medicine.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
