Sr. Staff Refinery Models Engineer

Valero is looking for a Sr. Refinery Models Engineer to join the RefinerySimulation Models team at the Valero Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. The Sr. Refinery Models Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting use of multiple refinery process simulation models.

Responsibilities may also include: 

• Builds, calibrates, and validates process unit models in Petro-SIM.
• Monitors the accuracy of assigned models and updates models as needed
• Provides model troubleshooting, user support and training
• Uses assigned models for selected studies.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

• Bachelor's or higher level degree in Chemical Engineering, required
• Minimum of 15 years of refinery engineering experience, required
• Knowledge of refinery processing in general with either FCC or Hydroprocessing experience, required.
• Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio location, required

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
