Project Manager

SUMMARY

Bering Dynamic Solutions, LLC, accompany within the BSNC family, is currently seeking a qualified Project Manager for a contract in Silver Spring, MD.  Wage/Salary Range: 164K-$185K

 The PM shall be responsible for the overall contract. This contract works for an agency that operates approximately 285 desktop/laptops, a mix of 90 physical and virtual Linux servers (i.e., development, testing, and production environments), 25 physical and virtual Windows servers, storage devices, and a mix of network devices. The agency operates a Linux server farm located in the cloud in AWS and hosts more than 60 scientific, oceanographic, and geospatial applications, which provide real-time scientific, oceanographic, and geospatial information to warn of pending storms and storm surge and support marine navigation. In addition, a real-time Continuity of Operations (COOP) infrastructure is located in the cloud via AWS, with the capacity for providing a rolling three days of real-time data without a database structure, and the potential of becoming a hot or warm site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Required to access JIRA and Confluence to assist in the management of projects.

·         Develop and maintain a Project Management Plan which details execution steps, resources, communication tools and protocols, risk and issue management, stakeholders (and their roles) the deliverables involved in a project’s completion and quality control to identify, prevent, and ensure non-recurrence of defective services.

·         Establish and maintain standard management and reporting templates needed by all projects and tasks.

·         Provide a Monthly Status Report (MSR) as described in the Deliverables Schedule.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

 

·         Must have 5 years of demonstrated IT PM experience

·         Experience in creating project plans

·         Hand on experience with JIRA and Confluence

·         Fully capable of supporting implementation of Government wide initiatives that require short implementation durations and response times.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

 

·         AWS Cloud experience

·         MS Office suite experience

·         Excelled oral and written communication skills

·         Ability to interact with senior level management both at the customer and corporate levels.
