The Production Project Leader for Weiler Labeling Systems Responsible for the overall daily activities of their assigned projects on the production floor, the system performance during pre-FAT testing and the FAT testing of the system.

Are you motivated by this work?

• Report to the Production Manager on their projects overall status for “on time” delivery of a quality product.
• Prepare Projects on the production floor for electro-mechanical assembly once the materials are transferred from the materials group to the production floor.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for assigned projects and/or machines.
• Lead the electro-mechanical assembly phase of the project by delegating prioritized to tasks to the assembly team.
• Lead the setup phase by prioritizing tasks and communicating these tasks to the cross-functional team with regards to system setup.
• Support the production schedules that outline dates for start, finish, pre-FAT, FAT, etc.
• Interface with customers during visits, FATs, etc. and project a professional and positive image on behalf of the company
• Define parts leftover from the project into four categories Customer Requested Changes, Application Required Changes, Manufacturing Issues and or Engineering Related Changes.
• Team with project engineers to troubleshoot assembly, electrical, software issues
• Redline drawings to indicate modifications/as-built

• 5+ years of experience in a related role in a similar industry and having had increasing levels of responsibility in Project Leadership
• Training in lean or 5S or other contemporary manufacturing techniques
• Proficient in some but not all of the following disciplines as it relates to troubleshooting: all electrical, programming, software and mechanical
• Solid knowledge of automated packaging equipment
• Good general knowledge of automation controls, system mechanics and setup
• Able to assist engineering in determining the design resolution required to remedy the issues found and/or implement upgrade designs
• Ability to support debug efforts with production and engineering staff
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Efficiently lead projects to completion
• Capable of displaying positive leadership traits that result in a united team
• Reading and interpreting technical mechanical part drawings and assemblies
• General understanding and ability to read electrical schematics
• Some travel may be required
