Job Summary

The Rock City Food & Beverage Partner plays a vital role in creating memorable guest dining experiences at Rock City Gardens. This role is responsible for preparing and serving food, operating cash registers, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting sales growth through upselling. Whether guests are enjoying a snack or a full meal, the Food & Beverage Partner helps ensure every visit is enjoyable. Under the direction of the Rock City Gardens Food & Beverage Manager, the Food & Beverage Partner performs the following duties:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent guest service to internal and external customers in alignment with Rock City Enterprises’ mission, culture, and values.
• Model professional guest and partner interactions at all times.
• Work across all Rock City Gardens food and beverage locations as assigned.
• Grow sales by effectively up-selling menu items and promotions.
• Operate cash registers to conduct transactions, including opening, closing, and daily deposits.
• Assist with monitoring and recording food temperatures to ensure food safety compliance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work area.
• Prepare and serve food items, ensuring proper portion control and quality standards.
• Keep dining rooms, back-of-house spaces, and exterior grounds clean and orderly.
• Follow health codes and safety standards to maintain a high health score.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education& Experience

• Current high school student participating in a Work-Based Learning program.
• Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to receive training is required.

Certifications

• Ability to obtain ServSafe Food Handler Certification.

Skills & Abilities

• Friendly, professional demeanor with strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to provide a polished, engaging, and courteous guest experience.
• Strong communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Ability to read and follow operational documents.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using U.S. currency.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Regular use of hands and fingers.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch frequently.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
