Applied Signal Technology: WHO WE ARE
What you will do:
You will be the face of the facilities group at this location and engage in projects involving both the physical facility and the logistics area (shipping and receiving area) that covers our facility in Annapolis Junction, MD.
You will build office furniture, arrange moves for employees and new hires.
You will be responsible for all facilities work orders and shipping & receiving.
You will be responsible for assisting site employees with facility requests.
You will work with our property manager to resolve any issues.
You will supervise and escort outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and equipment.
You will lift up to 25 with or without a reasonable accommodation, anything over 25 lbs. would need to be assisted.
Qualifications you must have:
Typically requires a HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of facilities, logistics and shipping and receiving.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only US citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.
Qualifications we prefer:
Handyman experience preferred - knowledge of the four major trades in facilities (carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC)
Knowledge of hand tools and how to properly use them.
Ability to build furniture such as put together chairs, desks, and other office furniture.
Self – directed and motivated.
Highly organized; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to solve problems with limited oversight.
