Location: This is a PART-TIME position is located in BUENA VISTA, CHAFFEE COUNTY, CO AT THE BUENA VISTA CORRECTIONAL COMPLEX. This posting may be used to fill future vacancies at this location.

They are located in the Farm neighborhood near shopping, restaurants, a fitness center and work.*CDOC cannot guarantee housing, and does not operate the housing.
Examples of duties
This PART-TIME position is located in BUENA VISTA and provides medical assistance to inmates housed in the Buena Vista Correctional Complex.
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- In a clinical setting, assist patients with activities of daily living to include bathing, mouth care, dressing, toileting and clothing changes when incontinence occurs, ambulation and feeding;
- Obtains and records vital signs for review by staff nurse;
- Provide and assist with patient transfers and turning in bed;
- Report changes in patient skin condition and patient health care complaints to shift registered nurse;
- Empty catheter bags; offer fluids and record Intake and Output; apply external catheters;
- Talk with patients to keep oriented to person, place, and time;
- Respond to call lights and inmate requests for assistance;
- Assist with meal distribution;
- Change linen according to unit schedule;
- Assist patient with making of bed, picking up room, etc.;
- Perform dressing changes, soaks, finger stick blood glucose measurements, vital signs, and pulse oximetry under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse;
- Maintain appropriate tool and materials control and accountability;
- Participate in development of patient plan of care;
- May be required to participate in restraining an inmate primarily for medical reasons;
