Examples of duties


The Colorado of Department of Corrections is looking for a dynamic leader with a professional medical background to provide senior management which includes planning, directing, and administering the operations of Clinical Services work units in all CDOC correctional facilities throughout the state through subordinate managers.  Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Responsible for all Clinical Services programs that provide state-wide health services which include medical, behavioral health, dental, clinic operations, pharmacy, quality assurance, policy, and support services;
  • Define program objectives by strategically planning for mandates, future trends, and offender needs;
  • Formulate and/or adjust programs by analyzing the complexities inherent in a multi-faceted environment to determine resourceful, efficient processes and guidelines;
  • Provide oversight and direction for health care delivery, staffing patterns, pharmaceutical operations, assurance of quality care, records and services through sub
