Proposal Manager and Writer

We are currently seeking a talented RFP Writer/Proposal Manager to join our State Government team. In this position, you will play a key role in the development, writing, planning, design, delivery, and overall proposal management for our State Quit Services tobacco cessation product. Working closely with our client management team and product team, you will proactively identify and develop a winning strategy that effectively communicates and showcases the value of RVO Health's products, services, initiatives, and overall brand.

As the RFP Writer, your responsibilities will encompass crafting compelling proposals that highlight the unique benefits of our offerings. Your expertise in proposal writing will be essential in capturing the attention of potential clients and demonstrating how our solutions align with their needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and ensure the proposals are comprehensive and persuasive.

To excel in this role, we are seeking someone with strong communication skills who can effectively convey complex concepts in a concise manner. What You’ll Do

• Develop, plan, research, write, edit, manage, and deliver complex requests for proposals and information
• Collaborate with departments across the organization to obtain appropriate content for RFPs
• Produce professional documents to ensure high-quality proposals
• Demonstrate subject-matter knowledge of the Quit Services product to develop clear and concise messaging
• Produce quality responses to RFPs by following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone
• Effectively manage deadlines
• Proofread and ensure compliance with formatting
• Articulate the value proposition, key themes, market position, and overall strategy within proposals

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Communication, English, Journalism, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
• Must have 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a proven RFP win rate, in the public sector
• Passion for public health
• Tobacco cessation experience strongly preferred
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Experience with the utilization of proposal portals
• Ability to embrace feedback, learn, and hold yourself accountable
• Excellent writing, organizational, communication, and planning skills
• Technical background with narrative-based RFP, RFQ, and proposals
• Project management-oriented organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Act as a team player and foster a positive work environment
• Creative analytical and problem-solving skills

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

• Starting Salary: $60,000 - $90,000
  *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
