Job Description

As the Value Stream Leader - Inbound, you will report to the Operations Manager and provide leadership and accountability for the inbound value stream to satisfy our customer and business needs. Other key responsibilities include identification, evaluation, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain as well as formulation of recommendations on inbound business processes and overall CDC operation strategies.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Engages associates, develops talent, and creates collaborative relationships within the department.
  • Effectively manages inbound shipments, unloading, receiving, & put away processes.
  • Implements/enforces work instructions for receiving, put away, replenishment, etc.
  • Interfaces with business unit planners on inventory requirements and concerns.
  • Interfaces with transportation providers on scheduling, requirements, and assists in resolving issues. 
  • Administration and management of record keeping and control processes.
  • Adherence & compliance with Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) receipt & inventory rules &/or processes outlined by the Federal Government, Bosch, & the CDC.
  • Identify and pursue transportation efficiency & quality improvement opportunities.
  • Identify, establish, and monitor the KPI’s of the Inbound & Reach truck teams.
  • Train, develop, & manage associates on the Inbound & Reach truck teams to meet both department & CDC goals.
  • Identify and develop continuous improvement plans (CIP) for his/her VS and collaborates with his/her peers on joint plans.
  • Ensures safety is a number one consideration on the CDC floor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management preferred. Will consider equivalent, relevant work experience in lieu of college degree. 
  • 4+ year's business experience in Supply Chain or Logistics work environment.
  • Broad experience in supply chain (planning, manufacturing, order management, physical logistics operations).
  • Must be knowledgeable in distribution processes in a structured environment.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced work environment with consistent demands and changes to delivery schedules.
  • Experience leading major projects or teams.
  • Must have a high attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Has a thorough understanding of warehouse forklift best practices.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP systems.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage internal/external relationships.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent problem solving and quality decision making skills.
  • Ability to effectively influence change and can handle ambiguity.
  • Inventory management systems (APICS) or other technical certifications a plus.
  • Certified equipment trainer preferred.
